How I Work

Evidence-Informed Practice

My work is grounded in contemporary research and developmental understanding. I draw on established, evidence-informed frameworks that support emotional regulation, resilience and adaptive skill development, integrating theory in a practical and accessible way.

Developmentally Appropriate Approaches

Sessions use creative, play-based and experiential methods. These approaches help young people understand and practise skills in ways that feel engaging, hands-on and meaningful.

Individualised and Strength-Based

Support is tailored to each young person’s strengths, interests and goals. Sessions are responsive and collaborative, ensuring strategies are relevant and supportive of their individual needs.

What We Work On

The focus is on building skills that support young people to navigate daily life with confidence and flexibility. Areas of development may include:

  • Emotional awareness and regulation

  • Building coping strategies

  • Strengthening executive functioning skills

  • Developing social understanding and connection

  • Enhancing resilience and adaptive thinking

  • Growing independence and confidence

Skills are developed through creative, experiential approaches and practical application, ensuring they are meaningful and transferable to everyday environments.

"He really enjoys his time with you, and has been showing so much more confidence and creativity since starting sessions with you."
